Day 3 in Yellowstone

We were very thankful for the DVD player for Annie and thank goodness I brought along some Baby Einstein DVD's. After her "cold spell" we opted to keep her in the car as much as possible. Too bad for her, she's still riding backwards, but she still managed to get a glimpse of her videos out of the corner of her eye. We traveled back north past Norris and started where we left off on day 2. Some sights we saw were "Roaring Mounting". See below....

The Sheepeater cliff, named after some Indians in the area. Rustic Falls at the "Golden Gate" of Yellowstone

an amazing bend in the road at the "Golden Gate" of Yellowstone! ekkkk stay on the road!! The Hoodoos of Yellowstone

We debated over taking this hike to Wraith Falls, I was so concerned about Annie getting cold. We were happy that we took the chance b/c we saw some great view of Elk close up. Not sure what this wall is called, but it was very pretty. These pictures were taken near Tower Falls

Grand Road Loop Drive. On this drive we kept going higher and higher till we were on the edge of the road looking down over this huge valley. In the minute we stopped a rainbow popped out and Rich quick captured it. It was so cool!! and one of the best places to spot a rainbow!

Just over the top of the mountain after the view of the rainbow, we crossed over to the other side. This area was just as beautiful and unique in it's own way. We saw signs over here for "bear management". Not a very good place to get out for a hike! :) the sun was so pretty beaming through the clouds!

as high as the clouds, this was a direct view to the right of the road we were on.
lots of snow up this high! burrrrr... temps in the lower 30's.

Finally we headed back to the hotel for the day! another great day!
