We traveled away from Yellowstone to "Yellowstone's Bear World" a place over and hour away that is like a drive through zoo w/ animals that you may or may not have seen at Yellowstone. For us the big hit was the bears that you could PET and BOTTLE FEED!!! On our way we went through the Mesa Falls Scenic Byway and saw our first moose in the wild! :) we were so excited!! We were alone on the Byway and did not pass or see another car for a long time!Monday, July 12, 2010

These pictures were taken at Mesa Falls. There was a beautiful rainbow as soon as we got there, but it disappeared until just as we were leaving.

So happy to finally see a bear, even if it wasn't "wild" :)
I love this bear! it's the perfect vision I might have had from a children's book growing up.
in the distance you can see this truck hauling people on top, who are about to feed the bears from a safe distance.

This is the only place in the country they allow you to feed the bears!! :) it was really awesome and our gift from Mom and Dad for our anniversary.

I love the milk dripping down his chin!!
Rich was loving this! all along the trip I had to holler at him to shut the windows b/c he wanted to pat the buffalo passing our car!
They trained the bears to eat w/ their front paws down, but this bear just refused to learn.

The rodeo that we wanted to stop at but there was lots of rain in the forecast and little cover for taking a baby! :(
The sign that told us no "stopping" to take pictures of the Bald Eagle, that everyone overlooked.. I seriously think if they took the sign down, more people would drive by and not notice it, but the sign was a red flag to the Eagle.. and no one could resist taking it's picture! including us......
