Well it came and went. :( Annie celebrated her first birthday. As much as I tried I could not hold off the party. I think I convinced myself if I didn't plan it, it wouldn't happen. Then I kicked it in to high gear and got ready for her party last minute. My last baby turned 1!! (cry sob) My last "first birthday". I love parties... and there are so many themes to choose from. But I settled on what fit her personality. Annie LOVES our dog Zoie. She is the only one of our kids who has showed interest in the dogs at an early age. Particularly Zoie. After getting all the parts to the party together. I had a lot of fun w/ it, and thought it was a cute theme. I feel kinda bad b/c we went all out for Luke and Abby's first birthdays.. but I'm getting smarter now... and realizing that the party is just for me! and the babies didn't really care at that age! So this time we just did family. And snapped some great pictures to show her someday!
Annie could care less about her cake. She did not like the feel of the frosting on her fingers. She really would have nothing to do with it! and honestly... I don't blame her! that's one smart girl.. I wouldn't want to dig in to that mess either! maybe next time we should just give her a spoon or fork!
I love all the little decorations that went in to this party. Mostly things from around the house plus the plates and cups.... I made these cute little bone cookies to match the theme.

I'm also funny about wanting to celebrate ON their actual birthday. It's hard for me to do it on the wrong day but w/ everyone's work schedules.. we had to settle for a Saturday. So on her actual birthday. A Wednesday... A friend and I took our children to Cosi for the day. We had SOOOOO much fun. And I think that Annie probably enjoyed crawling around Cosi more than anything else we could have done for her. I put this cake shirt on her for the Cosi trip.
