Oct/Nov misc (lots of new updates! scroll down!)

Here are a few of the pictures I took w/ my new camera. I'm having a blast with it, but for now I'm only good at using it on Auto outside! So w/ the cold weather comes a new dilemma! Here are a few ones I got before it got cold!
This little guy is a friend from high schools son. Isn't he adorable?!! :)Luke FINALLY lost his first tooth. Most of the kids his age had lost their first last year. He was so excited to finally be part of the gang. It was kinda traumatic for everyone involved watching him wiggle that thing... the Luke was afraid to pull it out. So Mommy acquired the job. (yuck!) Luckily we all survived. Should have seen his face when I told him it was out! Luke's class participated in a parade for Halloween. This brought back great memories for me, as something special I enjoyed as a kid. I remember looking for my mom positioned at one of the street corners w/ her video camera... and I got all choked up to think it was MY turn... and here I was years later w/ my camera looking for my kid! Luke walked out of the school first in line w/ his teacher... my first reaction was uh oh??? I wonder why she wanted him right up w/ her! I came to find out that he was line leader for the day and it was actually a privilege! :)

The girls... all bundled up! IT WAS FREEEEEEEEZING!

Abby's school had her parade too. Luckily it was indoors. I was glad to see her b/c last year I was in the hospital having Annie! Thank goodness Abby squeezed in to her costume from last year b/c it was nice and warm for trick-or-treat. Here are the kids... and it's Annie's first time trick-or-treating. She didn't really give a hoot! I was disappointed.. Luke's first year he was 15 months.. which must have made the difference. He got excited about the kerplunk of candy in his basket. Annie could care less and actually was a pain b/c she would not stay sitting in that wagon! So Mommy and Annie came home early.

A few weeks ago. Abby was watching Luke play piano. All of a sudden she burst out saying, hey, I can do that! (we had letters taped on the piano keys to help) so Luke took over being "Mrs. G" and was very excited to teach her what he learned. It was so precious!!! Abby is very excited to learn to play piano herself now and can't wait till she's 5, for her first lesson w/ Mrs. G. In October. I surprised Rich w/ a lighted steak dinner in the basement in our new room. Our babysitter was kind enough to take all the kids at her house. We went out to the lake afterwards and watched the sun set. Then went Christmas shopping for the kids and finished w/ a hot cappuccino from Denny's.

PS yes, that's my homecoming dress I'm wearing!!! couldn't quite get it zipped all the way.. but it was close! :)
