Well yesterday was my 33rd birthday. For some reason birthday's aren't as exciting after you reach 30! My morning was nice though. I was awoken to stuffed animals and Luke bouncing across the room singing "Happy Birthday" to me. Then the kids brought in these little gifts they had wrapped for me from around the house. Luke gave away some of his hard earned money, and Abby one of her best shells. Everyone hurried me to the dining room to show me their presents. Rich cracks me up, he gave me $300 in the form of these "bills" that he placed his face on! :) I was asking for $ to get my digital scrapbooking printed out! Rich also got us some of the stuff for our pool table that we had hoped would arrive by my birthday! :( but not yet! The basement still needs another week.
So after going out to eat with Rich's folks for lunch, Rich and I got to work on the basement. We have to have it ready for the contractor by Monday. It's a huge room to paint! I helped where I could but it was not easy with the baby and kids! Rich ended up staying up till 2am doing the most of it himself. Here is the color we picked -now you just have to imagine the brown carpet...We picked these colors b/c the pool table is brown and blue.
This sample below is a piece of counter top that I selected to go in my "craft area". Ben is going to build me a nice desk to do all my crafts on! I can't wait! :)
Luke snuggling Annie
Annie watching TV and Luke snuggling her.
Annie having a conversation with "Mr. Bear". She loves the little blue bear on her Jumperoo. She tells him all sorts of stories! I love it! :)
Excuse the pink tray.... this was Luke's typical lunch this last week. I think he's going through a growth spurt?! or at least I hope he is!!!
Abby missed a week of school due to a nasty virus we all passed around. This week they had "Dr. Seuss" week. Here she is with her hat and red shirt. Luckily she fits in to some of Luke's clothes (when I need a certain color for the school themes).
I feel like there are certain moments that stand out to me from each of the kids as a baby. For Annie it will be how sweet she is when I lay her down, she pops her little head up and looks around her bed (the pack n' play for now!) then she just lays down and goes to sleep! :)
I took this one of Abby the other day, I liked the light on her, she was focused on "tape" the big thing these days! You'll find it everywhere!!
Adorable Annie! :)

Rich has his first Upwards game LAST week, then again this past Friday. WOW he had a lot to do, from praying w/ the kids, coaching, being the referee for the game! devotions, and passing out stars (while remembering who did what!). He's done a great job taking on this new responsibility, the kids seem to love him. I like how they practically sit ON him for devotions!
Lastly we had a little incident yesterday. :*( I was making dinner and Annie was watching her Baby Einstein video when she let out an awful cry. I ran in the room and found Abby. Quickly remembering that I'd seen Abby squeeze Annie's hand too hard before (to see her response)... I pulled Abby off to her room questioning her on what happened. Abby confessed to "accidentally punching Annie"!!!!! Annie's hand was all red, and seemed to hurt more when I touched it. Abby is our child that we rarely have to discipline. Anyways, I've been pretty upset about the whole thing. It just broke my heart to think she would do something like that when she's usually so kind and loving to her! :( Of course I go from being mad at her to being upset with myself, just wondering what I missed... Did I not give Abby enough attention this day? or what?
gotta go. Annie's up again! -Beth
