My new project!

This is the "before" picture when I had it all laid out.I really wanted to have some cute "western" outfits for Annie for our trip to Yellowstone. I saw some things online that I couldn't afford so I headed to the resale shop, found these two pairs of overalls and went to work making my own. I'm really excited about how they turned out. While they are far from perfect, it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I had to model them on her and go figure as soon as she bent at that tummy she spit up all down the front of the horse. ugh! I'm not sure how they'll wash, so I'm hoping they will make it to the trip for a few days before needing a wash!

This is the after picture, when it's actually sewed on and finished.checking out the decorations on her pants!

cute baby toes!!

as proud as Mommy of her new overalls! :)

now all she needs is a hat and boots! :) I finally felt like I was catching up a bit today on housework. Yesterday w/ baby on my hip, I got the carpets steam cleaned. Today I did the kitchen floor, laundry galore, piles of papers, and started packing for our trip.
Annie is still waking up a lot at night. I'm so frustrated w/ the situation. I would let her cry more but then Rich starts stirring and I'm worried she'll wake up the kids too. Luke already gets up at 6ish.. I certainly don't want him up earlier! I figure I can't do too much right now b/c when we go on vacation I'll have to do whatever to keep her quiet in the hotel, so no sense un-doing any hard work. We'll work harder once everyone is out of school.
Abby had her first end of the year scavenger hunt. She was so cute, laughing hard and running from clue to clue to clue. She was excited about her prize.. a new DS game and these funny dolls that come apart like her snap beads. Luke is counting down the days till his last day. He has a paper loop counting calendar that he cuts off a loop everyday on.
.
I'm excited for the kids to be home so we can go swimming. This is the first year ever that we are getting a pool pass. I love to be out in the sunshine, it helps lift my spirits, and the pool is an easy way to entertain the kids, and wear them out!!
.
Very likely, I won't find time to write again until after our trip. If you can pray for safety, good weather and a happy baby!!
