I called the OBGYN today about my symptoms... they recommended I come in today for a "Fetal fibronectin test" to determine if I'm in preterm labor or not. Basically it tells if I'm likely to give birth in the next 2 weeks. If I am, they may give me a steroid shot for the baby, or do something to hold off labor until 36 weeks... if the test turns up negative, they will allow me to be more active. I'm very borderline as far as the baby's development goes... we are JUST about there... and they think she would do pretty good if she was born today, but might need a little assistance. I should know in 24-48 hours the results of the test, until then I'm supposed to take it easy. (Easier said than done!) but the kids are a great age to help now, so I'm doing my best.

Luke was the special kid of the day at school today. He came home w/ a little book all the kids helped to create. Everyone practiced writing his name, and then drew a picture for him and signed their own name. He was so excited about it! He came home at lunch and talked non-stop spilling his back pack out everywhere and showing us all the stuff he did at school. They were apparently very busy today! :)

not much else going on... just laying around, waiting for the hours to pass and this baby to grow! Luke was such a sweetie tonight, he knows I'm not feeling well, so he brought me his blanket and covered me up, then snuggled behind me in the chair and rubbed my back! :) What a little gentleman he is taking care of his Mama! :) I love when I get glimpses of his tender heart!

ouch... here comes another contraction... that's about 17 today! :(... gotta go...

PS. the doctor gave me some meds to take if the contractions pick up... (the same thing as the shot I received in the hospital) but I don't really want to take them b/c they made the baby's heart rate jump from the 130's to the 160's.. and it made me all shaky and irritable too. :(
