The DRIVEWAY! my job for the day!

Well we had a huge snow storm move through today! My cute little snowman now somewhat resembles a gnome now!! :)Meet the bottom of my driveway! ugh! I'd like to just take a sleeping pill and sleep through tomorrow b/c I'm going to be in pain when I wake up! I shoveled my half of the driveway this morning, in-between keeping and eye on Abby playing outside, then running her in, and checking on the kids when I could hear them from outside! (that's always a good sign that you'd better run in!) JUST after I finished making a path to get one car in and out.. I jumped in the shower and the doorbell rang! I sent Luke to the door (a little nervous b/c you never know who's out there) .. I was fairly certain but not positive.. anyways Rich had a computer drop off from friends of ours. They ended up offering to shovel the other 1/2 of the drive for me! SO KIND! and very helpful to one exhausted Mama! it was great b/c I was about to drop from the work load just getting my 1/2 done. The nice thing about our Jeep is we can usually just drive over all the snow. But we got so much last night it was starting to look questionable! The snow came down fast and hard all day. By the time I got to the end of the drive another inch had fallen so I actually started again and got that layer up.

Later after Rich got home I shoveled again, mostly just trying to keep up w/ it before it became a real job. We had another 2-3 inches on the drive! and it was a good work out trying to finish the job again. The end was awful where the snowplow comes by. When I came in the house I just dropped in the bath for over an hour. It was so good to finally relax!

although it was a lot of work, I do have a big sense of accomplishment to be able to finish it. (w/ some help!) But at this point, I'm kinda praying for no more snow!! I've decided that snow is better than cutting grass. I took a few turns mowing this year w/ Rich's push mower. You have to push it all yourself, and it's not easy coming up the slight hill across our yard. I'm always at an odd angle trying to get it up there. So I'm thankful that Rich was injured in the winter vs the summer so that I'm not mowing the whole yard!

Rich actually had work today. I was so worried about him driving! I offered him my Jeep b/c it's really good in the snow, especially w/ our new tires. Luckily he just went to the office and pretty much sat all day. He's getting around a little to well for my liking these days. I think he's feeling really done w/ the crutches. I'm just PRAYING that he doesn't do something to hurt himself worse!

well Im' off to bed! I think I'll just put the tylenol beside my bed for when I wake up!

PS I'm hoping and praying my face survives all the cold weather today b/c it was too uncomfortable to keep a scarf over my face while I was working. I couldn't breath through it. I really hope I don't break out in another bad rash. :( well see.
