Abby had gymnastics again today. I am loving every bit of this! I was totally blown away by the girl and her ability to listen and follow directions and REMEMBER what the coach said last week and apply it today w/ out being reminded!! about 3-4 times the coach and I looked at each other in disbelief! I have to say I was a very proud Mama today!! Luke was very proud of her as well. He kept telling her and said he would give her all these prizes and toys for doing such a good job. Rich and I were excited to see the beginnings of building strong family bonds w/ the kids. I think it's important that we were all able to go w/ her and support her. You should have seen her jumping up and down and celebrating that DADDY was coming to her class to watch today. Last week he was in no condition to go... and other times he's at work and misses most of the classes. I was very excited to see Luke so proud of her and supporting her. I hope she can return the favor for him in the future.
We had a relaxing day today. We were blessed w/ the gifts of time and generosity today. Our babysitter offered to watch the kids free of charge from 11am to 4pm! and her mom brought over dinner for us! They wanted to bless us they said. We were overwhelmed w/ the generosity that keeps flowing in! My neighbor also came over un-announced w/ dinner! Luckily she and the other family missed each other by 10 minutes! whew... that would have been odd! I feel almost guilty to except the meals b/c the last 2 days have been more "normal" but I feel that the "extra care" will only help get us back on our feet!
Funny thing... this morning I was taking a shower and I somehow got a huge glop of conditioner in my ear. I didn't know it.. I dried and "styled" my hair.. got dressed and everything.. went about my day not even noticing it, as I was folding laundry my ear started ringing and went quiet. I reached up and this huge glob of conditioner was IN my ear! Looking in the mirror it was so obvious. I'm glad I didn't go to the store like that!
If that's not enough.. tonight I went to change the laundry. I turned on the dryer to re-warm the clothes.. when I took them out there was a BOX with 33 fabric softener sheets IN the dryer! They had all escaped from the box and were scattered through all my clothes. The clothes felt really gross...almost greasy!! Needless to say I had to rewash the whole load. Now that was definitely a FIRST! and I'm still racking my brain trying to figure out HOW I accidentally threw it in there?!!???
it might be fair to say I'm rushing through my days?!!?
