This afternoon Luke has t-ball practice and I have my Adventure Club. Then I gotta work like crazy to catch up on my Bible Study for Thursday night.
The kids have been trying to "build each other up" w/ nice words from our last Family Time Devotion we had together. I made a chart and I've been giving them a Lego block each time I catch them saying something uplifting w/ out purposefully trying to earn blocks. After school, Luke plopped on the ground and said to Abby, here, sit down, I'll take your boots off! I was so proud of him for taking care of his sister. I love when they get praised for something out of the blue and then they walk around all smiley and proud of themselves.
Another praise for Luke is every morning the kids want to race out the door to be the first to the car, he has been holding back, even though he could easily beat Abby, and holding the door for me, very carefully to make sure it doesn't swing and hit me. I can see in his eyes that he'd rather race and beat her, but I'm proud of him for watching out for his Mama!
