Yesterday Luke brought our African Gray Parrot to school for Pet Week. The teachers asked him all sorts of questions about his pet.. how he takes care of it, where it lives ect.. It was kinda embarrassing for me b/c he hasn't really done much to help w/ it.. and the bird lives in the basement b/c he squawks so much!

Luke sharing our bird w/ his preschool class After Rich got home he took the kids out to play while he worked in the garden. Abby and Luke had fun making "MUCK" something Mommy would never let them do! :) Guess who was put in charge of baths and clean up!! not me!

While the kids made "MUCK" I found a moment to sift through the awful mess in the dining room and put things where they belong. I tend to pull out laundry baskets and throw stuff in there if we're having company and I have no time to clean. Then I hide them in a back room. Well I've done this a few times to many and now they've been sitting in the dining room piling up more and more junk. I had 2 over flowing baskets of school papers, church crafts, birthday stuff, you name it! all needing to be sorted out. Paper by paper.. I made it. Boy did that feel good to have that behind me!

Abby and I went to Gorman Nature Center today b/c my OBGYN appointment was canceled. We had "fun" looking for spider webs covered in dew. I think I was more worried about how many there actually were out there now that I was able to see them!!

Next the kids went on a scavenger hunt, collecting all sorts of things from the woods. Find something... white, yellow, green, straight, fuzzy, that a bird would use, square, triangle, something that does not belong outside, something special, something to give away, something that grows, something a bird eats...ect..ect.. Abby LOVED searching for things, but her answer all was picking dandelions every other minute! :)

My afternoon consisted of cutting out lion heads to be used for our craft tonight at Adventure Club. Only to be tossed away as junk by the parents w/in a few hours of arriving home. :( That's about it, I gotta get back to work.. Just using this as an excuse to sit down for a minute!
