28 1/2 weeks and growing!!
Well I feel thankful to have made it to 28 1/2 weeks after a scary start to this pregnancy. The baby now has a chance at survival if born early, and every day I get under my belt gives it an even better chance. I feel like I've come so far, but I feel like I have SOOOO much further to go. The extra weight (30 pounds now!) is really slowing me down. The doctors noticed that I had gained too much too fast, so they are keeping an eye on that now. It's so hard to see myself in the mirror and watch this weight go on. I keep telling myself that it's going to go away!!! but it's still hard to watch it. I'm struggling w/ my hunger everyday. I am a totally different person when pregnant. I have no off switch... and I rarely feel full!! A very frustrating feeling!!.JPG)
We are all getting excited as the time gets closer. I brought up some of the kids old baby gear to re-cover and make it new. Abby enjoyed trying out the "magic blue seat" as we called it. She LOVED this chair as a baby, and spent quite a bit of time in it the other day revisiting her old toys! :)
I enjoyed recovering the old Boppy and making it new. I made it two sided. I love how it's fun and fresh.
I'm also excited about working on the new baby's crib bumper. Abby's bumper was a bit worn from her standing on it, so this was my excuse to pull out my sewing machine. These are the beginning stages of my project. I still have a ways to go, but you can get an idea of the finished product. I am looking for a brown or pink crib sheet to go w/ this -if anyone has one tucked away they are not using.

Yesterday was a rough day for me, I just didn't feel up to moving around much, so today I tried to make up for it and take the kids outside more. I'm glad we have a place to play now, even though the playset is not completed yet.
I'm excited to find a little table and chairs to store up in the tower for the kids to eat lunch on. Luke had fun bringing his computer up today and pretending to make a password/code to get in.

Then we were off to the front yard. Luke was inventing all sorts of things w/ the pipes and tubes I bought him. He kept blowing bubbles in the wagon, until he sucked up a mouthful of water and started choking.
Live and Learn I guess....
The kids have fun mixing water and chalk.. which comes out w/ a paint consistency and keeps them busy longer than the dry stuff... So Abby was making hand prints on the driveway.
Now that the sun is out strong, we are hiding out in the house w/ the nice air conditioning!! I can't believe my little boy will be going to Kindergarten in just a few weeks!! And my lil' girl will be starting her first day of preschool!! I have to say I am looking forward to having a few hours to myself this fall, as my tummy grows and my energy level and patience continue to spiral downwards. Everyday I dream about this little baby and wonder who she will look like. I am sooooo excited to meet her.
