Abby turns 3!

Sorry I've been missing in action! Life has been busy and all w/ Abby's party and me "trying" to take it easy!. Abby turned 3 last Friday. On Friday morning we opened her presents before Rich went to work. Abby got this huge present that was taller then her! It was a Step 2 Roller Coaster. The kids are currently playing w/ it in the house. NON-STOP!

Here she is trying it out for the first time. After a while we learned that if we turned it so it ended in the kitchen, the kids would roll further on the hard floor.

Which brings us to "the cake"... Usually I put WAY too much effort in to my cakes.. but last year I learned to pass the baton to Wal-mart.. who was actually happy meet me half way. I designed the cake and they made it! not a bad trade off huh? I found these cute little figures in the resale shop, took off their clothes and painted leotards on their bodies! You can hardly tell! The cake was a little "off"... on their part. but I didn't stress about it. I was just glad to have a cake!

We hosted Abby's party at the gymnastics gym that Abby takes lessons at. Both sets of grandparents were able to come and then we were allowed to invite 12 kids. My goal was to invite as many of Abby's friends as I could, while branching out to a few brothers and sisters for Luke's sake! :) It turned out to be a really good group of kids. Everyone listened so well.. the little kids had big brothers or sisters to watch. And I didn't have to do much!! but decorate! :)
Here is Dad climbing the rock climbing wall.

And Luke following close behind! :)
Coach Mary starting the kids out in a circle before they stretched out. Kids in "straddle position"
Kids getting ready to do musical mats
Luke practicing the motions for a back-handspring..not sure how to write that?
Abby just after she blew out her candles.

walking on the balance beam w/ Daddy's help
Taking a break to snuggle Daddy on a mat
Lauren trying out the rope swing
Natalie on the uneven bars hanging on w/ all her might! :)Samantha jumping on the trampoline
Abby w/ her presents she got from my aunt Robin. She saw a friend open a "Play-doh ice cream shop" last weekend at another birthday party and she really wanted one too! Which was confirmed by a commercial on TV :) so she used her birthday money to buy the Play-doh, which she has been playing w/ non-stop since the got it! oh what a mess!!! but lots of fun!

I've been very very tired from the pregnancy. I think it's amazing how a baby so small can just drain all my energy!

Abby had her 3 yr check up today. She's following the same growth pattern that Luke did... she grew well and now she's dropping down on the chart fairly fast. What's up w/ my kids??!! hopefully they will get a good growth spurt sometime? the good thing is we can carry them around longer! :) Abby was so funny I was telling her how the Dr. might as her some questions and she says " I have some questions for the doctor!" She cracks me up sometimes!: )

Tonight I took the kids to the grocery and off to the library to turn in an overdue game. Then we did baths, and a movie and homemade popcorn, a treat, brushed teeth, went potty, read 4 books, sang 3 songs each and they're off to bed! Daddy had to work late.. so I pulled the load on my own, and now I'm happy to kick up my heals a bit before I crash!
