Sorry I've been away from the blog so much! we had a busy weekend. Rich and I went to Family Life's Weekend To Remember in Cleveland. It was a marriage conference, and sort of a last minute idea! Last minute meaning.. We decided Tuesday morning.. to attend and leave Friday night! My parents came here to watch the kids! We had a great time! I didn't want to come back. It was so nice to actually get to talk to Rich. We had a nice date together too Saturday night. We went out to dinner and walked around Tower City a bit. At one point in the conference the men and women were separated in to two different rooms.. actually there was a huge divider in the "ball room" and the men shouted out really loud "I LOVE YOU!" our speaker stopped and said "did you hear that? lets return it"... so we all shouted "I LOVE YOU!.. right back. It was pretty cool! :) It was a very intense week of studying different aspects of our marriage.. and then having a break time to go back to our rooms and discuss what we learned, and answer questions. My butt got awful tired sitting in the conferences all day! but we learned some great stuff! It was a very valuable time. I hope we can implement all that we learned. We both came home w/ some good books. At the end of the conference we had the opportunity to renew out vows! I was giggling half the time and could not for the life of me look at him and be serious! The more I tried not to laugh, the harder it got! I hate when I do that! I finally dug my ring in to my finger and controlled myself a bit! :) they sent us home w/ a certificate concerning the vows. I would highly highly recommend this conference to anyone who needs a little "fine tuning" or time away w/ their spouse. I get so caught up in thinking I can fix everything myself.. but when you humble yourself and realize that you can't do this alone.. you instantly feel strengthened through the power of God. I am anxious to work on being the wife and mom God intended me to be.
Today I jumped right back in to the craziness of life when my car broke down at preschool I was sitting in the parking lot w/ Abby waiting for school to let out when I heard something bubbling and my check gage light came on immediately! I lifted the lid to find coolant boiling out all over the ground. Some friends from school took the 3 of us home, and Rich got my Jeep to the shop. Turns out the motor that keeps the car cool died! so we need to pay about $280 for a new one!
Well I'm off to work on my new read! -Beth
PS sorry about no pictures from our trip, I FORGOT my camera! can you imagine?!?!
