catching up a bit!

wow, I can't believe how behind I am... I was going through pictures trying to catch up. I thought I'd start w/ this funny game Rich has been playing w/ Luke. At night all his "animals" come alive.. and change places.. get in to stuff ect... Luke wakes up amazed.. and wants to keep his eyes awake all night.. and record their behavior! :) anyways.. here is the bear getting ready to turn off the camera (you can see Luke sleeping in the background).. Rich made this funny video of the bears causing trouble for Luke to see. On Friday we were finally able to get outside and enjoy some nice weather! The kids had a blast re-visiting their favorite outdoor toys. Luke was glowing ear to ear when he saw his "batter batter baseball". He ran in and put on his Yankee's Jersey and hat... I think he hits better that way?!? :)
Later Friday night we met at the park for dinner and play time. I picked up KFC.. and met Rich out there after work w/ the kids. They had sooooooooooooo much fun! Abby was screaming so loud on the swings, I seriously thought someone was going to be worried about her! :) pure joy!

Luke had fun racing around picking up "nuts".. off the ground and storing them in his pocket like a little squirrel.
yes, even Luke still rides the baby swings... b/c we can push him higher. He's not so fond of heights as Abby is.

Here are my homemade Oreo cookies I've been working on. They were a few steps too many. I had to press the dough between wax paper and then roll it out.. chill it, and cut it into 2 inch circles.. then bake and fill. They are good, and different!

Friday Abby also mastered the "mouse" officially. We've worked w/ her a few times and she refuses to learn. She'd rather just sit and watch one of us play pbskids. but this day w/in a minute or two she just picked it up and flew w/ it! She's soooo proud of herself. If anyone comes near she announces "I can do it myself!" it's so cute!
I think Luke is a little disappointed that Abby is not as thrilled w/ just sitting and watching him play now! They got in a little fight b/c he kept saying "but I want to show you how to do it!! and Abby said I can do it myself!!" poor Luke...

Today Rich hosted his LAN party here... lots of men all hanging out in the basement... ALL DAY! playing the same game over and over and over... to each his own I guess! :)
I had an enjoyable day w/ the kids. For some reason I found myself overflowing w/ patience. I was so relaxed and enjoyed every minute w/ the kids. I wish I had this more often!!!
Tonight I watched a good movie "On Demand".. we're enjoying our new TV more than we ever thought we would. All for now! -Beth
