Luke had no school today b/c of the parent teacher conferences. He had very good comment come back from his teachers.. w/ the exception of the incident yesterday.. (he got corrected for talking too much and was very upset about the "worm" his teacher gave him).. he told her he was going to tel his Mommy.. she said well I'm going to tell your Mommy too! It was kinda funny!! Anyways.. as yesterday continued he was very very wired for whatever reason? like he just couldn't calm himself down. So I wasn't surprised to hear he had gotten in trouble that morning at school!
We just kinda hung out today.. I'm getting ready for Mom and Dad's arrival tomorrow, so we can go away on our get-away! It's so strange to be away from the kids for more than a few hours! We don't know what to do w/ ourselves! Honest, we forget how to talk.. and end up just talking about them! I'm anxious to learn some new tools for keeping our marriage strong.. and resolving conflict when that arises. We are in a difficult stage of life w/ young kids. We can get easily exhausted and forget to put that extra time in to us.. I don't want to be ok w/ that. I want to keep growing and bettering our relationship for us and the kids! I'm glad for this opportunity to do this together.
