Abby's first year playing soccer!

After church and lunch the kids got their soccer stuff together for the first practice of the season. I can't believe my baby was out there playing soccer today. She did really well considering we gave her no at home practice before we went. It was neat to see her out there with Luke and his friends. Luke is ready to move on to the next level but we thought it would be good for Abby to sign up one season w/ Luke. I was going crazy going back and forth between the kids trying to take pictures! Here she is jumping right in to practice. the kids stretching out before they started! She looks so little out there. Actually they said there was a 2-3 age group! I didn't realize they were allowing 2 yr olds to play!

Playing the red light green light game. When he said green they dribbled their ball, when he said red, they stopped and held it with their foot. She really liked this game and did well. Plus it was at the beginning of practice.. she was exhausted by the end!

anxious to try and make a "goal"

trying out her "feet" in the goal

Mr. Tough guy Luke... kicking the ball as hard as he could and trying to be first at everything.
Luke thinking he's "All that" b/c he was the first to run to the other end and back w/ his ball.
Abby's friend Olivia from music class. They were supposed to find partners to kick back and forth to. The girls did really well following these directions. End of practice. Kids listening to instructions. Abby sitting on her ball like the other kids! You should have seen her trying to line it up under her butt. it took her a while! :) it was so cute!

Kids putting their hands to the middle to shout "Leiderkranz".

One tuckered out little girl! Too exhausted to walk back to the car a few fields away.
a special trip to DQ for an ice-cream treat! Abby got a grape slushy b/c it was purple but wanted to trade me for my brownie Sunday.
Luke and his new favorite "cookie dough" (and a typical fake smile).
