Friday was beautiful outside!!! The kids were so excited to be outside. Rich joined us for lunch and we had a picnic lunch on the porch. The the kids were very excited to run and play outside w/ the "water squirters" and water table. It was a pretty miserable time for me breaking up constant fights. Luke squirted Abby in the face, then dumped water down her chest w/ a shovel full of cold water.. They traded turns scooping water away from the other's play space and dumping it on the ground. Then Luke snatched a watering can from Abby's hand but she had a good grip on it.. She got ticked that he tried to take it, so she used it to dump/splash water on him.. you should have seen his face, standing their in disbelief, and me on the phone w/ my mom, laughing that he got what he deserved! She did it again, then he came running in to tattle on her. Friday night Abby had her Gymnastics Recital. It was so exciting to watch her perform. She wasn't even nervous about the big crowd that had come out to see the kids. 1/2 the gym was filled w/ people, and the stands were packed. Abby was one of the very first to go. she performed one of her flips better than she ever has. They had fun music playing for the kids, and she had a little hop in her step as she showed off each of her new talents. At the end of her "show" they awarded her w/ a metal. She was soooooooooooo proud. Here is the video of her running to show Rich. :)

After her event, she sat w/ me to watch the rest of the show. The whole thing was about 2 hours. She LOVED watching the girls and talking w/ me about which events she would like to do someday. I had just as much fun as she did and recorded most of the girls routines by video.
