Busy Day!

I'm really tired, so I'm going to try and make this quick. I took Luke to school, turned around and took Abby straight to the Nature Center.. we were 10 minutes late so the two of us rushed through the woods, w/ a fish net in hand, hoping to find the rest of the group. It was rainy and misty this morning so I have no clue what inspired me to take Abby out today but we were so glad we went! Abby took a turn dipping her net in a few ponds looking for critters. We found a tiny little frog. (we were the only ones to find something like that!) after a while we headed back to the nature center. The leader, then put some of the critters on a glass slide and projected them for everyone to see. It was really cool! ugh, don't ever drink pond water.. and wash your hands really good! I couldn't believe all the life that was found in these little drops of water! I was actually feeling bad for it.. hoping he would return it to the pond!

The race continues.. and we were off to music class. (a friend is hosting a free class) at her house.. but the numbers are dwindling b/c no one pays and so no one feels obligated to go. I went today basically b/c I wanted to support her. But I do think we're about done as well. b/c it's just too much on me. Abby spent half the class curled up in my lap being shy.. it hardly seemed worth it, but I'm thankful for her time.

We went straight from there to get Luke... picked up pizza on the way home, ate, played, dropped!.... well all of us but Luke. Abby and I were exhausted and took naps. Luke played and watched TV and answered the phone for me! :) luckily nothing major happened today while I was napping! you never know w/ Luke if he'll have a creative streak during quiet time.

I dragged myself out of bed and spent the rest of the afternoon preparing my lesson for church tonight. It took me a long time but went well! I was tickled to death when my 2 helpers told me my lesson plan "rocks" and I'm "like the best teacher". :) (blush) well not quite. but I found that the kids LOVE my puppet shows, and they listen sooooo much better. The puppet shows also save me from having to memorize my lesson. I can just read it! I also found this cool craft for the kids at Hobby Lobby. It was a "cross -resist".. you know the black paper that you scratch off the paint and the colors show through? well the kids LOVE LOVE LOVED this! it was exciting to have such a successful night. And as I was telling a friend, I feel I'm meeting my goal of having more confidence teaching a preschool class. It's really quite rewarding.

back to my day.... rush home... quick throw Luke in the bathtub!.. and sneak off to see American Idol.

I think I am going to take a sneak peak on the baby tonight w/ my Doppler to make sure everything is ok. Sometimes I have a hard time slowing down! Today was one of those days. I just tend to move very fast.

Tomorrow I'm really excited about starting a new Bible study at church. I think it's going to be very good for me. I'm also excited b/c this study is at a different time of the day, and I'm hoping to meet other women my age who are interested in digging in the Word. When I attend Bible study there are usually not a lot of women my age which is kinda discouraging for me.

So even though it was a rush rush day. I can say that I was happy for all the things we did. Our lives some how fun smoother when we're busy?! makes no sense... but I really think the kids enjoy the one on one special events we do on a busy day out more then a day home when we're all getting on each others nerves. The laundry is piled half way up the wall.. the dishes are backed up, the house is a mess, and I'm going to bed!
