Abby started out pretty good but tired quickly. She's just not used to running around, I don't think she has much endurance. Plus she has a cold, so her nose was running down her face. Either way I thought she looked adorable in her pink shoes and shorts. The white shirt she's wearing, I took out of Luke's closet! and she fit it!
Luke continues to LOVE soccer.
This afternoon we're going to do another "Family Time Devotion" w/ the kids. Our church has a great program where they teach the parents how to do devotions w/ their kids. They give you the materials for 2 out of 4 weeks and demonstrate "How" to teach the lesson. The other lessons you can find online. We did it last week for the first time. I blasted the kids favorite music, then ran around excitedly yelling" It's FAMILY TIME!!!" It's FAMILY TIME!!!! You should have seen Luke's very concerned face as he raced in the house, worried he might miss something exciting. I laid out a blanket and we met there, singing the rest of our theme song together, at the top of our lungs! :) I explained the lesson and did a short demonstration for the kids about "hitting the target". They loved the lesson and time together and all week Luke was asking when the next one was! I explained that the next time they hear the "Theme music" playing loudly to come running b/c it will be Family Time! I'm excited to turn up the music this afternoon and watch them run w/ excitement. This lesson talks a lot about attitude and controlling our anger. I'm very impressed w/ our church for equipping us w/ the materials and encouraging us to be actively involved in teaching our kids the Word of God verse just allowing them to hear it Sunday at church.
PS I caught up on some of the last few days... see below for some missed posts.
