nothing to exciting today. I took Luke to preschool, then rushed off to MOPS w/ Abby. She's such a stinker, she's always complaining about going to MOPS saying but I want to stay w/ you,I want to go home and play toys, but when we get there she goes right in, and she comes out as happy as a lark, all showing me her papers and stuff?!!

Luke was playing outside when I came to get him at school. The kids were all running around in different directions shouting "Tornado" being silly b/c it was windy outside. Luke was running after Hannah when I pulled in. He said the boys were chasing the girls!

At home I gathered all the recycleables. and waited past nap time to take them to the school that was hosting the pick up, I got all the way out there and discovered I had the wrong day! ugh! so frustrating! The kids went down late for nap, which means they are up later. Ugh, everything has it's own consequence!

Rich took the kids to story time tonight while I stayed at home listening to the clocks tick! ahhhh peace and quiet! I sorted through the craft closet and the kids "school stuff". I like everything organized so that I know where my stuff is, and can make better use of it! I went through a huge box of markers testing them and throwing away the dead ones.. those silly jobs that take time yet no-one notices or appreciates. Then I attempted the dreaded job of deciding which of the kids artwork to keep and which to throw away. I was able to "recycle" some of their papers. I bought a new toy w/ my birthday money... it's a press to make your own paper.

I worked w/ Luke on his math a little today. I got out some flashcards to see what he could do. Pretty good, but over confident.... and too excited to give me answers. We've also been working on his letters, making sure he knows how to write all the upper and lowercase ones w/out looking at anything. He has most of them down, but still a handful to learn (from memory). I also need to get after him for handwriting. He's very quick to write his letters.. which isn't going to go over very well in school. I figure now is the time to do it since it's still a game to him, when I pull out the school box. :)

Tonight Abby pulled her usual.. I gotta pee... after Rich had her in bed.. she pulled it 4 times!!!! and the amazing thing is the girl pees AGAIN EVERY TIME!!! every 15 minutes! she can squeeze out a few drops.. I don't know how she does it. But she was really driving me nutty tonight. Then she cried and cried b/c I wouldn't cover her up for the 4th time out of bed. I had resorted to putting a baby potty in her room so that it wasn't as much fun to get up. Then I said "cover yourself up" b/c it's just a game! and it needs to stop.. so she cried and cried.. I can't do it, mom SEE.. look I can't do it. (w/ awful attempts)... I left the room and she screamed and screamed.. ugh. shut the door... she screamed louder.. by now I'm seriously losing patience.. so I go in there, look her right in the face and say firmly LAY DOWN, now pull up your blanket.... now pull up your comforter... she did it quick as could be. not problem at all. oh, I can't stand when they play these games!! she's finally quiet for the night.. that was her record.

all for now.. -Beth
