We've been pretty busy. I enjoyed getting together w/ my parents Friday night for my birthday. I was surprised by one of my most wanted gifts. a Lap Harp! It's a simple one, bought out of a catalog for children's toys (mostly)... anyways. I thought it looked like fun. I feel we get stuck in a rut of the same things we do everyday. I wanted to try something new.. stretch my brain a bit. All you have to do is slide the music under the strings and follow the dots. It's so easy! Tonight I played some of the kids favorite bedtime songs while we all sang along. Then Luke took a turn at it and did a great job.

Saturday was busy busy! Abby had her gymnastics.. She did amazing, considering she had a cold and was a bit run down! I was so proud of her b/c the coach took her aside, held her hand, looked right in her face and complimented her on listening and following directions. She then told me she's "very good at following directions!". I was so proud of her! All the coach has to do is demonstrate once how to do something and Abby does a really good job copying her motions! Rich and Luke enjoy watching her and cheering from the side. Then Luke was off and running to 2 birthday parties...the first for his friend Jadon, was a star wars themed party which was right up his ally! They made light sabers and had races and fun games. Our favorite part was the food that had cool names like Jedi Juice and Padawan Pretzels (these stick pretzels dipped in green frosting to look like a light saber) really cute idea! These pictures make me a little sad to see how small Luke is next to all his friends. :( a lot of them are a year older then him, but if he was like 2-3 weeks older, I could have sent him to Kindergarten w/ these kids. It makes me very thankful that I could not send him b/c he sure needs another year to catch up in height!

In the afternoon Luke went to another party for his friend Evan from preschool. Evan and Luke are about the same height. The two found each other last year and formed a friendship. It's really sweet! They are both so silly together and have lots of fun! Evan is very kind to Abby as well. He's always loving on her... giving her hugs and pats. Abby was invited to the party as well. she came after a much needed nap! She was very excited about her "gift bag". It was her first birthday party I think??!!
