Another busy day... we rushed off to preschool, then rushed back to MOPS.. they both start at the same time!

After preschool, I received an e-mail at home that a friend who was experiencing a miscarriage was going to have a D&C today. I have a lot of leftover comfort bags from a ministry we started last year for the women who were leaving the hospital w/ empty arms. I decided to put together a bag for this friend and run it over to the hospital, along w/ a bear she could hug on to. Luke (My little card maker....said he wanted to make her a card too. He taped his largest chocolate bar in the card w/ a piece of gum. :)

While we were there, I was able to talk w/ the staff about the gift bags I had dropped off last year. They apparently are happy w/ the giftbags, and still have some, but could use some more. I also talked w/ them about some tiny little boxes they provide the family with for early losses when needed. I had one made, but a whole bag full of others that need to be finished. I'm hoping to gather a few girls and get working on these, as the hospital says they can really use them, and the only ones they have are given by donation. It's unfortante that my friends loss was the kick in the butt I needed to finish this ministy that I started. If anyone would like to donate to this cause... we are in need of tea bags, tea light candles, small packets of tissues, ribbon, stuffed animals (big enough for a mother to put under her arm) artificial flowers, and hands to put them all together.

lots to do! all for now.... -Beth
