Christmas Tree and Gingerbread House

Saturday we went to Wade and Gatton to get our tree. We were planning to wait until Sunday to go w/ my parents (our tradition) but the weather forecasted rain so we opted to take the kids Saturday instead. Of course as usual we got the largest tree we could... this one must be the biggest one we ever brought home! Not bad for $33!!!! It took a few men to get it up on top of the car! They were laughing at us b/c it was still spilling over. We had a couple funny stares on the way home. When Rich dragged it in the house he had to pull and pull to get it through the door! then I laughed b/c tipped sideways it was almost taller then it is standing up!

It was SUPER muddy out there... see the kids feet? our car was so bad when we drove it to church Sunday and it rained.. it left a HUGE mud puddle in the parking lot and clumps of mud under our car. That is Rich back there behind the tree!!!My In-Laws got a Wii. Rich put it together for them and had fun testing it out. Luke is pretty good. Abby didn't have a clue, but she sure wanted to be in on the fun. I think Rich had more fun then anyone! Mommy's not really into it.
My Mother-in-Law also started a tradition of making a gingerbread house w/ the kids. They remembered it from last year and kept asking when they were going to do that again. Here is the house in progress. And this picture was taken after they got a hold of it and ate pieces off for about 10 minutes!
