Saturday night Mom and Dad surprised the kids w/ a trip to see Disney on Ice! It was Abby's first show of this sort... it was great to see her eyes light up. Luke loved the "Cars" and "Lion King". I loved the "Little Mermaid" b/c I have all the songs memorized....as did the lady sitting behind me w/ her kids!! :) We had a great time. Here are some of the best pictures from our night!
Confetti falling on our heads! Dad got front row seats for us! but there were still people in front of us?!? I don't get it?!?! I guess they were in row's -1 and -2??? it was great to see the characters up close but we soon found out the lights were also shinning in our eyes very bright! I took some tylenol to avoid a migrane if possible!
Saturday morning......Our Lil' Gymnist! (eating breakfast.. I did not bring my camera to the gym. I felt funny about it since I didn't know anyone).
Yesterday we took Abby to a free trial of a gymnastics class. She was supposed to attend the Mommy and Me class but b/c there were not enough people attending they bumped her up to the 4 yr old class. To my suprise and delight she stayed right w/ her class and followed directions to the best of her ability. I was beside myself w/ smiles and joy watching her participate. She was so darn cute!!!!! she did forward and backard somersauts (w/ help) did a log role, practiced the motions for a back handspring by rolling backwards on a foam roll? she climbed a "ladder" and hung from her hands at the top supporting her weight. she did the balance beam and crawled through a tunnel. My favorite part was when she chalked up her hands to try hanging on the uneven bars. She did great.. and was very proud of herself. She'd hollar back to us "I DID IT!!" we were all melting.. even Luke.. when she was all done, he congradulated her w/ a hug and said she did great and also told her she did the best out of anyone!".... well not quite! but everyone said she did really well for her first day. We were very proud of her! :) so I'm VERY VERY excited to start up classes in January! I can't wait to get her a little leotard... :) brings back good memories!
