Santa "Ho Ho"
long day!.... I dropped off my library books... then took the kids to the mall to see Santa. Usually Luke is terrified of him. This year he did great. He was so proud of himself, and told me " I wasn't scared this year mom, do you remember last time!?" it was cute! anyways.. Santa pictures are costing more and more.... the cheepest ones are not so cheep anymore! ugh... not sure how many years we'll keep w/ this tradition.. probably just a few? anyways... the kids both told Santa what they want... Luke said "Legos and a controller ship"? not sure what that is? Abby just said "Toys!" that's easy!!! :) Abby calls Santa "Ho Ho"... it's so cute! Then we were off to Once Upon a Child...looking for size 5t and 4 jeans for Luke.. he's finally growing out of his 4T jeans... it's all of a sudden too... lots of them are to small.. we didn't see what we wanted so we headed over to Old Navy. Ugh, I hate to spend $20 on jeans!
back at home the kids were very well behaved.. and got to play an hour past nap time. Luke never napped.. (he just plays quietly in his room -it's his own choice now)... works out great for me! I really don't care what he does as long as I can have a break for a while! After dinner I picked up our babysitter and got some errands done w/ out my tag alongs! It's tooooo cold to be hauling the kid around today. I lost my keys in between my groceries today out in the parking lot. I thought my fingers were going to fall off I was so cold!!!
I was very thankful for the babysitters help today since Rich worked late. It gave me so much more energy and patience for the kids tonight! I gave them their baths, and read some new books to them. Luke was mad at me tonight b/c I wouldn't allow him to take the stickers out of the "Batman" library book. Not sure why they lend out a book w/ stickers.. I'm sure they will disappear somewhere down the line.. I just didn't feel right about it being at my house... anyways.. Luke is NOT happy w/ my choice.. he went to bed very angry at me.. luckily he got over it and let me cover him up and kiss him good night. Poor Mommy... that's what I get for bringing home new library books.
I'm enjoying winter break.. it's nice to not have to get up early and get everyone dressed and out the door for preschool. We're having fun bumming around in our pj's! all for now... -Beth
