Another crazy day. I'm hoping next week is a little bit slower! I took Luke to school then rushed off to Kroger to get the ingredients for my Taco Soup. While I was there I smelled something funny coming from Abby. turns out when I took her potty at preschool (nothing happened and she said she didn't have to go)... I had missed a tiny terd that stuck to her bottom... The poor thing.. she never poops her pants and it was my fault b/c I didn't even realize she went a bit... so I had to give her a quick bath at home and then made my soup before rushing out the door to get Luke and head to the Harvest Party.

Luke was very happy to see his friend Hannah at the harvest party. Hannah is in his class at school.. I think the 2 look sweet together w/ their blond hair! Poor Abby hated her horsey costume she picked out.. it was very tight on her neck and the weight of the costume on her head bothered her. At one point she was practically gagging from the tightness, and red in the face when she sat down.. so I think I'm going to re-sell it and get something else.
Around naptime I looked out and saw these beautiful mushrooms growing off one of our trees. It seems to me we had some growing in the same place last year. I am interested to know what kind they are if anyone knows...they are so pretty.

I was lucky enough to get my own nap in today as well... Luke hasn't been napping anymore :( well today we were all beat when we got home from the party.. but he wanted me to play w/ him. I told him I was too tired, and I plopped down on the couch w/ my feet up. Abby came over and snuggled w/ me.. Luke stood there cross w/ his arms folded and said he was mad b/c I wouldn't play w/ him. I told him he could stand there and be mad all by himself or he could get over it and come over and snuggle w/ us. He slowly decided he DID want to be all snuggled up w/ us.. and he came over and layed his head down on me. :)
Rich was kind enough to take us out for dinner tonight. We went to Coney Island. .it was so good! I love their famous Pea Salad. We all got icecream afterwards... they have the BEST icecream. I think I'm going to make it a habit of going their more often!!!
Tonight I rushed off to the mall (w/ no kids!) in search of a dress for a wedding we are going to tomorrow. All my dresses are old and outdated.. I counted back over 10 years on the "runner up" to this one. I was so excited to find this one for $17 marked down from $100 at Macy's. It feels so good to get a good deal on something you couldn't normally afford!
When I got home Rich had tried letting the kids sleep together... that was a joke!! HA! The reason is.. a few days ago Luke came in the bathroom w/ the biggest smile on is face... he was so happy he could hardly talk clear as he told Rich that Abby climbed in BED w/ him sometime during the night.. and "he didn't even know it.. "He said they were good and there wasn't even "trouble"... he said it was so cute how she cuddled up w/ him, and he showed us how she was laying. All day he kept thinking about it and smiling really big.. he "invited" her for another sleepover! :) Poor Luke... he was willing to lay down and be quiet but Abby w/ a case of the sillies...just wouldn't settle down, so he finally grabbed his pillow and headed back to his own bed.
