What a long long day.... first I dropped Abby off at my friends house so I could volunteer at school today. We watched Luke's friend Kylie get on the bus for Kindergarten. (first time Luke has seen the bus stop up close). Then we raced off to get gas... . ( I was in E!) and then off to school. I was impressed w/ how quiet and orderly the teachers kept the class! It was amazing! The teacher spent time talking w/ me about things I could work w/Luke on at home to challenge him. After school we met up w/ Heather for lunch at Pizza hut. She brought Abby and Sarah and met me. Then we were off to Garden Gate for the fall acvitities. Luke was excited to hang out w/ Jadon.. the two of them were holding hands walking together. It was sweet! At home when we were leaving Luke threw a fit about wearing his pumpkin shirt, but w/ a little bribing I got him to put it on.I think it was adorable! (gotta get all the money out of it that we can!). The kids did some crafts and made a scarecrow. Luke finally got up the nerve to try the zip line! We came home too late for nap, so I had the kids on "lock down!" :) in their rooms for playtime for 1 hour... I think it's good for them and ME! The great benifits of no nap is EARLY to bed! ;) As I write this I can hear Abby sweetly reading outloud from her room. I took down the gate, but she has choosen to keep playing in there. Luke is watching Star Wars... (the newest thing he ALWAYS wants to do!). gotta go... -Beth
6:43pm.. I just pulled this picture of Luke w/ his "listening ears" out of his backpack.... you gotta appreciate ANYONE who is on your side when it comes to teaching your kid skills that we struggle w/ day in and day out! :) I was just telling Rich how I was amazed how quiet they kept the kids today! There class of 20 kids was quieter then our home of 2!
