trick-or-treat! A COLD night!

well we survived trick-or-treat in super cold weather! I just check the temp at 9:30 and it's 32 degrees... it was warmer when we started but not much better. The kids were not thrilled about wearing heavy coats under there trick-or-treat outfits but ya gotta do what ya gotta do! We were lucky to have a red coat for Luke that matched his outfit, and luckily Abby didn't seem to notice that half her costume was missing.

this year it was so funny to watch Abby. She was flying.. trying to keep up w/ Luke.. at least for the first 8 houses... after a while she slowed down. Poor Luke did a face plant off the edge of someones yard, spilled his candy and hurt his leg. :'( After a while when we were almost back home Abby told me she was cold.. and she was shaking..So we left Luke and Daddy and headed home.. she announced that she wasn't having fun, and that she was freezing!... :( poor thing... I ran the wagon back home, stopping at a few houses that had fire pitts to warm up by. We got home, ate too much candy and took a nice warm bath!

Halloween brings back so many memories of being a kid. I enjoy watching them tip their buckets over to see how much candy they brought home. And then their eyes light up as they squeal w/ delight! I skipped Adventure Club tonight, b/c there was no way I was going to miss watching the kids trick-or-treat.


Here are Luke and Abby w/ their friends Karis, Ethan and Natalie just down the street. You can hardly see the boys.. they both have dark masks on. Look how sweet and innocent the girls look!
