Orange Day at Preschool

Today was orange day at school. Luke's teacher was teasing him that she was going to bring him home and sit him on her porch tonight w/ his pumpkin shirt on! :) Luke brought snack today which means he got to be the line leader and gets to help pass out snack. I struggled to find something orange that would be easy on my budget and my time. I ended up settling w/ peanut butter cheese crackers from Wal-Mart for about $3.00 for 2 pkgs... not bad for 20 kids and 2 teachers!

At home I tried out my new Scotch Erasing Pad. The only reason I even picked it up was b/c it was in one of those bins at the store by the register for super cheep. A few days ago while I was shopping Rich was taking a shower, and Abby decided to decorate our white walls w/ a green crayon... allllll the way down the hall... turned the corner.. she even made a few smiley faces the best that she could. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. obviously we've been through this w/ Luke. Luke knew what was coming.. When Daddy got out of the shower, he stood in the hall w/ his ears covered b/c he knew Abby would get a spank. Abby's newest phrase is"I never going to do it again!" in the absolutely sweetest voice you can imagine. Anyways... we were planning on re-painting soon anyways, but I thought I'd try this Erasing Pad just for the heck of it. I couldn't believe how well it works!!!! It was so cool! It even took all those annoying fingerprints, and black smudges from random things hitting the wall. I definitely recommend getting one. I took pictures of the progression. The sponge does wear out after a bit.. I went through 1 sponge w/ one whole hallway.

1. Crayon on the wall2. after a few scrubs3. gone! AMAZING!!!

Dinner tonight was Taco soup and French Bread spread. ummmmmmmmm I ate way to much! I got bored waiting for Rich to come home and took a photo. Luke helped me make dinner.. he dumped all the cans in the crock pot, and cut up the meat and helped me brown it. He also spread the mixture on the bread all himself.

While we were waiting for Daddy to come home (he was an hour late!) :( I tried to get Abby to write her own name. I used black dots and told her to draw from this dot to this dot... (that's how I taught Luke early on...) anyways this was her VERY first attmept!!!!! I tried a few months ago and she didn't get the concept at all... so we gave up w/ "A". YEAH ABBY!!!! I asked her what she wrote and she said "I LOVE YOU!"... :) not quite... but a good effort.
