After lunch we took the kids to Garden Gate to find their pumkins. Usually we go much earlier in the year. I dress them up in cute matching clothes but today was so cold we were bundled up good! I'm glad we didn't go to Kings Island we would have froze! The kids had fun picking out their pumpkins. Then we let Luke run thru the hay maze really super quick.. he wanted to show Daddy how he can do the zip line, but then he chickened out.. Abby did it like 4 times before we finally talked him into it again! Then we got out of there fast b/c we don't want a replay of Luke's asthma attack..

At home from the advice of one of my friends I checked out a cool website that helps the kids design their own pumpkins. Luke wanted a scary one.. and Abby a happy "princess" one. Luke kept saying he wanted to help carve the pumkin but we were worried about him using a knife. Finally I agreed and let him use a really dull one on his smaller pumkin.. to my surprise he cut off the top himself and even cut out 2 eyes and the nose.. he was working really hard on it. I was proud of him. Sometimes it's hard to let go, but it feels good to watch them try new experiences. He was all proud of himself and offered to do Abby's for her!

We spent maybe an hour picking out all the seeds for our second batch of pumpkin seeds. They are still cooking and ummmmmmmm do they smell good! I let both the kids fall asleep watching their pumpkins glow in the dark tonight.

Rich and I are exhausted.. in fact he's already asleep at 9pm! I'm not far behind! -Beth
