I guess I was too busy to write yesterday... Today was just as busy. I took Luke to school then attempted to go to stroller class but I couldn't find the house it was at today. I gave up and came home. It was actually nice to have some time at home.. I got tons of housework done.. I vaccumed all the rooms, dusted...rotated the laundry, did the dishes, then mopped the kitchen floor! We picked up Luke from school and went home. At home I had a few people dropping off their computers. The kids ate a good lunch and we played "Battleground" and "Candyland Castle" before nap time. During the nap hour I scrapbooked a bit.. I'm getting so close to being caught up..so I've been working like crazy every minute I can get. Then I got Luke up b/c he wasn't sleeping. He read two books to me. "Crabs" and "Star Wars -Jar Jar's Mistake". He's excited b/c he's getting closer to having his chart filled up and recieving a trip to the dollar store. I spent a long time at the library the other night attempting to challenge him a little more w/ his reading b/c I didn't realize he was ready to move on to a harder books. So far so good... as long as I find something he's really interested in, that motivates him. We ran to Mrs. B's Heath food shop and got some nutritional yeast for popcorn. The kids LOVE it and scrap the remains out of their bowls w/ their fingers. I'm glad they like it so much! After dinner Luke was insistant on making pumpkin seeds. I cut the top off and he scooped out almost every little seed. (kept him busy a while!) :) We played outside a bit and taste tested them.. they were soooo good.. we all gobbled them all up. I have a recipe that I like really well.. it's almost like chex mix.. well off to spend a few more minutes outside before it's dark.

PS my night just got sweeter.. I took the kids outside while Rich finished the driveway. Luke skinned his knee on the drive just as Abby and I were heading out for a walk w/ "pink" in the stroller. Luke joined us.. when we got back he said he wanted to go for another walk and bring his "white puppy" so we went back in the house and got Abby's blue stroller and went for another walk.. I about melted.. he was talking to "White puppy" saying "are you ok? are you warm enough? do you like this music?".. as he pressed buttons. When we got home he cradled him as he lifted him out of the stroller wrapped in the blanket and said "Little White puppy and me are going to go take a break". I love these moments that remind me he's not grown up yet!! It's nice to see the sweeter side of my boy instead of all rough and tough.
