not much going on today just yet.. Luke brought this cute "pumpkin" book home in his backpack. It had a pumpkin tied to a string that you could place on each of the following pages according to the story. His writing looks a bit neater today w/ his "E's" although he said he's having trouble w/ his lowercase "A's".. so looks like we need to work on that. He said they always come out funny!
Tonight we're having Luke's good friend Kylie over for dinner. Kylie's sister Sarah is Abby's age and the two are starting to enjoy playing together as well. Kylie is in Kindergarten this year and Luke has really missed playing with her. It's interesting to watch them as they grow and change... when we have playdates now the kids are starting to struggle to find things in common. Luke shared that Kylie only has "girl toys" at her house... and "dress up stuff!". I'm sure Kylie won't be thrilled with Luke's rockets and Star Wars toys either. I think I'm going to bake some cookies for them to frost.. everyone likes that right?!?! :)

...well we had a great time together. Heather and I made spaghetti and garlic bread for dinner. Then the kids played. After that we decorated cookies together. It was so much fun, and they tasted so good! :) The kids were all wound up and happy to see each other! I think the 5 yr olds were crazier then the 2 yr olds! It's nice to get together w/ someone who has the same age kids. Luke and Kylie are a month apart and Abby and Sarah are 2 DAYS! apart!! Heather and I were in the hospital at the same time and we were even rooming right next to each other! It was a neat experience! (see picture below)
